TV (PBS): CAC’s Elizabeth Wydra Analyzes Morning Session of Kavanaugh Hearings, Day 3

On September 6, 2018, Constitutional Accountability Center President Elizabeth Wydra appeared on the PBS NewsHour’s live coverage of the third day of hearings on President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the U.S. Supreme Court, analyzing the morning session. Wydra discussed the instability of precedent with a five-vote majority on the Court, Kavanaugh’s unwillingness to express his views on the Constitution and the right to access abortion, newly released Kavanaugh emails that call into question his commitment to Roe v. Wade as precedent, and his commitment to the constitutionality of race-conscious policies.
