Congressional Oversight of the Executive Branch: Current Challenges
Congressional oversight of the executive branch is a constant feature of political life that dates back to the nation’s early years. But disputes over such oversight rarely make it to court. That situation is changing, with major litigation on congressional oversight currently pending before the U.S. Supreme Court and the en banc D.C. Circuit.
