CAC Hails Confirmation Of Pamela Harris To Fourth Circuit Court Of Appeals
Washington, DC – On news that the U.S. Senate confirmed Pamela Harris to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, Constitutional Accountability Center issued the following reaction:
“We congratulate Pam on the exciting news of her confirmation today,” said CAC Vice President Judith E. Schaeffer. “Pam is extraordinarily well-qualified to be a federal judge, and we expect her to serve with the highest distinction. We also congratulate the Senate,” Schaeffer continued, “for continuing to address the problem of judicial vacancies on America’s federal courts, by steadily filling those vacancies with highly qualified nominees. It is not only the Senate’s constitutional duty to do so, but it is also a critical part of the People’s business. While there is more work to do on this front this year, the hard work that Senators have put into getting this business done already this year will help ensure access to justice for individuals and businesses across the country.”
Added CAC President Doug Kendall, “We would also like to thank Pam for her exemplary service on Constitutional Accountability Center’s Board of Directors for the past two years, and for investing her time and considerable talents in helping make CAC a leading organization on the constitutional left.”
